Meet the beautiful ever-inspiring reproductive organs advocate Elizabeth Amoaa born with 2 wombs, 2 cervixes & 2 vaginal canals.

Elizabeth Amoaa, a Ghanaian Beautiful lady, has been confirmed to be born with two wombs, two cervixes, and two vaginal canals. Life challenges can be unpredictable for people born with the condition but according to Elizabeth, they serve as an opportunity to grow Elizabeth Amoaa was born with a rare condition: two vaginas, two cervixes and two wombs. She only got to know five years after the birth of her daughter. Amoaa in 2015 was diagnosed with uterus didelphys. Uterus didelphys, or “double uterus,” occurs during fetal development, when the two tubes that normally form one uterus instead become two separate structures, according to 'Mayo Clinic'. 

 A double uterus may have one cervix that opens into one vagina, or each separate uterine cavity may have an individual cervix and vagina, leaving a woman with two vaginas, according to Health.com. As a result, there is a double uterus with two separate cervixes, and possibly a double vagina as well. Amoaa set up ‘Speciallady’ – an organization dedicated to educating women and young girls on gynecological conditions and menstrual hygiene after her miscarriage. Miss Amoaa, who is a Women Reproductive Health Advocate, came out for the first time in 2017 to narrate her story as a woman born with a rare congenital abnormality of the womb called uterus didelphys. The story made her the first black African woman to share her plight with headlines in over 100 countries worldwide. Focusing on her advocacy, Speciallady has had an opportunity to share her story and to inform patrons at the British Army Wives network event, Community Centres, Local Churches, London Rotary Club of Hendon, and at Charity Conference in the UK Prior to her advocacy work, her dream was to become a lawyer, therefore, she completed her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at London Metropolitan University and Master of Laws (LLM) at the University of Surrey in the UK.

She worked in various organisations like Birmingham City Council, British Army Welfare services, Santander Banking Group, Eurostar, NatWest Bank, and others. However, My condition means that I am a high risk of cervical cancer or ovarian cancer, so I decided I wanted to live out my dreams,” said Amoaa who is originally from Ghana, but moved to the UK from France in 2003. Her advocacy work gave her the opportunity to be nominated by Ghana Outstanding Women Awards for Outstanding Woman in Health, Outstanding Woman in Social Community, and Shero of the Year Awards 2020, and UK Women of the Year Awards 2020 for the Wellness Warrior Award category. Elizabeth believes her advocacy work will encourage women and young girls to speak up to seek early diagnosis and adequate treatment. According to Elizabeth in a recent bare it all interview, she was informed because of her situation coupled with the fact that she was also diagnosed with Uterine fibroids she won’t be able to conceive and have a child. She was put on a medication by her doctors. After years of battling the sickness, Elizabeth beat all odds to conceive and gave birth to a healthy child. Elizabeth Amoaa now lives in Walsall, Birmingham with her sweet daughter after battling the sickness and emerging victorious. Watch video below
