I earn £50 as a naked cleaner - my partner is okay with it but some of my clients have creepy requests A woman who works as a naked cleaner has revealed the weirdest parts of the job - including clients who are also naked. Lottie Rae, 32, took up the unusual role to make some extra money in 2017, and charges £50 an hour - estimating she's made a few thousand pounds over the years. The British cleaner says in the six years she's been working as a naked cleaner she's had a range of clients - including some who just want company, naturists, and others who 'hope for something more'. The cleaner, who describes herself as 'free-spirited' says the role has made her feel more body confident and even says it's empowering. Lottie said: 'There's a fair few people who are creepy - a handful of the guys I clean for book cleaners on the premise they will get something else. The cleaner, who describes herself as 'free-spirited' says the role has made he...

The Dark Side of Humanity Marina Abramovic Rhythm 0 Experiment Friends, Marina Abramovic, who is considered one of the pioneers of modern art, is a world-famous performance artist. I am also doing research for the art category, but this time the subject is psychology. In 1979, she exhibited her own body as an object. Although the action started as art, it turned into a psychological experiment that almost reached the point of brutality. What does it take to unleash the beast within a person? It answered the question. I researched the blood-curdling incident for you. In 1979, performance artist Marina Abramovic, who was not yet well-known at the time, performed one of the most unforgettable, most talked about and perhaps most terrifying shows in the history of performing arts. What he did in this show, which he called Rhythm 0, was actually very simple. stand still in place The audience approached the artist in a very humane manner at the beginning of the show. In the first moments of t...

He was lynched by a white mob General Lee was lynched on January 13, 1904, near Reevesville, Dorchester County, South Carolina. He was an African American man, approximately thirty years old, with a wife named Henrietta and six children named Willie, Curtis, Bertha, Timothy, Nellie, and Lila. At the time of his death his estate did not exceed $50. He reportedly had a bad reputation among the other African American people in his neighborhood, with The Manning Times reporting that members of his community expressed surprise that he had not been lynched earlier due to his behavior. He was accused of the attempted burglary and rape of Miss A.P. Wimberly, a white widow, in her home. He had allegedly been stalking her at the store she owned before attempting to burglarize her home and rape her. Wimberly claimed that she frightened him away by her cries for help. Several...

American soldier killed by German snipers in Leipzig, 1945 War photographer Robert Capa took this iconic photo of an American soldier shot and killed by a German sniper in the battle for Leipzig on 18 April 1945. The soldier became known as the ‘last man to die’ in WWII after the image appeared in Life magazine’s Victory issue....  During the final days of the war, a platoon of machine gunners entered a Leipzig building looking for positions to set up covering fire points that would protect foot soldiers of the 2nd U.S. Infantry advancing across the bridge. Two members of the platoon found an open balcony that commanded on an unobstructed view of the bridge, set up their gun. For a while, one soldier fired the gun while the other fed it. Then one soldier went inside and the other manned the smoking gun alone. While absorbed in reloading it, a German sniper’s bullet from the street pierced his forehead. He crumpled to the floor, dead. War photographer Robert Capa climbed through a b...

Commonwealth soldiers in a British military base pose with the severed head of an MNLA guerrilla killed during Malayan Emergency, 1951. This photograph was first published on the 28 April 1952 by the British communist newspaper the Daily Worker (Morning Star), causing a political scandal throughout the British government, exposing the widespread practice of Iban headhunters fighting for the British decapitating the corpses of anti-colonial guerrillas. On 28 April 1952 a photograph of a British soldier exhibiting the head of an alleged communist insurgent was published on the front page of the  Daily Worker   newspaper under the heading ‘THIS IS THE WAR IN MALAYA’. At the time of publication, four years had passed since Britain’s decision to declare an official state of ‘Emergency’ in Malaya – then a group of colonial protectorate states in South-East Asia, which later became the states of Malaysia and Singapore. British efforts to suppress an independence struggle led by the c...

KILLING ME SLOWLY: 7 OF THE LONGEST EXECUTIONS IN HISTORY Today, if you are unlucky enough to be sentenced to death, in many parts of the world you would have the small consolation that it would be (most of the time) swift – firing squad, electrocution, hanging, or lethal injection. For much of history, though, many people suffered protracted, agonising, drawn-out deaths. Some of these killings took hours, others days, and some even weeks. Here we look at seven of history’s most interminable terminations, with examples of extended executions, and stories of savagely spun-out slayings. Hang 'em High: 7 of history's most famous executioners 1. Brickin’ It - Immurement From the Vestal Virgins of Ancient Rome to 19th-century Persia (where criminals were known to have been bricked up alive into city walls  head downwards ) the ‘walling in’ of the condemned has a long history. The Vestal Virgins, immured in an underground chamber when breaking their vows, were given a small amount o...
