The abuse started off as psychological with Worth deciding which clothes in which colours Skeel could wear, she then began isolating him from his family, sending messages from his phone telling them not to contact him. Next she broke his phone and took control of his social media accounts. She also told Skeel that his grandfather had died, which was not true, then berated him for being upset by the news.
