This is the horrifying moment a man was thrown into the air 100ft above the ground after he was electrocuted by a high voltage power line. The man had a miraculous escape after he was hit with more than 30,000 volts when he climbed the electricity pylon. Despite falling more than 100ft to the ground, he managed to walk away and appeared to be 'relatively' unscathed. Footage of the man after his dramatic fall shows him in shock and struggling to catch his breath, but conscious and with no broken bones. Kremers and Froon were students from Amersfoort in the Netherlands. They had spent six months planning their trip to Panama, which was supposed to serve as part vacation, part service trip. SUIC!DE OR MURDER? THE CURIOUS CASE OF RONALD OPUS On March 23, 1994 the medical examiner viewed the body of Ronald Opus and concluded that he died from a shotgun wound to the head. Mr. Opus had jumped from the top of a ten-story building intending to comm!t suic!de. He left a note to the effect indicating his despondency. As he fell past the ninth floor his life was interrupted by a shotgun blast passing through a window, which k!lled him instantly. Neither the shooter nor the deceased was aware that a safety net had been installed just below the eighth floor level to protect some building workers and that Ronald Opus would not have been able to complete his suicide the way he had planned. "Ordinarily," Dr Mills continued, "A person, who sets out to comm!t suic!de and ultimately succeeds, even though the mechanism might not be what he intended, is still defined as comm!tting suic!de." That Mr. Opus was shot on the way to certain death, but probably would not have b...

15 infamous last words from criminals on death row Here are some of the strangest last words before execution What words does a convicted criminal choose to be their last before they die? Would they ask for forgiveness or tell their family they’ll miss them? Most probably do. Others, however, have other things to say. Here are some of the strangest last words before execution: 1. Jimmy Glass, 1987 (Louisiana) oddee.com Last Words: “I’d Rather Be Fishing” On Christmas of 1982, 20 year-old Jimmy Glass and inmate Jimmy Wingo escaped from jail and shot an elderly couple to death while burglarizing their home. Both blamed each other for the crime and both ended up on the electric chair. 2. Jeffrey David Matthews, 2011 (Oklahoma) crime.about.com Last Words: “I think that governor’s phone is broke. A picture from the holocaust that my grandfather put in his scrapbook after returning from the war. Might be NSFW. Pile of bodies unable to be cremated Nazi soldier forced to help bury the dead. A display of Nazi guards' "pastime" activities SS Being forced to assist in burials. studies show that WWIl extensively shrunken heads elsewhere, but I had never actually I've seen pictures of them until now. Truly monstrous what people have done and are capable of. Sometimes, when l read about/think about WWIl, it feels so long ago, so far away, but in reality, it was 66 years ago, not even one lifetime, a blink of the eye on earth. The fact that Hitler was alive just brief while ago, that men who fought on all sides of the conflict still walk the earth, sometimes feels surreal. Throw your mind back to 1945, the Soviet forces had just defeated the Na...

The Juanita mummy, also known as the Lady of Ampato or the Inca Ice Maiden, is one of the highlights of a visit to Arequipa. Some 500 years ago, a finely dressed and well-fed noble Incan girl around twelve to fourteen years old was sacrificed on the cold heights of Ampato Volcano in Arequipa, alongside other youths. The aim was probably to procure protection from the gods against future volcanic activity. Cold temperatures perfectly preserved their bodies, but the ice mummies were hidden from sight until the volcanic ash from the eruption of nearby Sabancaya volcano caused part of the glacier to melt. Much of the burial site likely fell into the crater when this happened, but Juanita and the other mummies were discovered around the crater in 1995 during an expedition directed by Johan Reinhard. In the vicinity, spondyllus, diverse Andean grains and plants, and several gold statues were also found. Enjoy Christmas 2023 with these promotions offers and its benefits. Special offer for ou...

Lawmakers stuffed a provision into the Pentagon funding bill that makes it all but impossible for Trump to leave NATO A brief provision in the massive $886 billion bill funding the Pentagon will likely kill former President Donald Trump or any potential future president's ambitions to withdraw the United States from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Sens. Tim Kaine, a Virginia Democrat, and Marco Rubio, a Florida Republican, teamed up to muscle their bill — which would require an act of Congress or Senate approval to leave NATO — into what is often deemed a must-pass bill that funds servicemembers and outlines national security priorities. President Joe Biden is expected to sign the legislation into law. The Senate passed the overall legislation 87 to 13. The House passed it on Friday on a 310-118 vote. "The Senate's vote today to pass my bipartisan bill to prevent any U.S. President from unilaterally withdrawing from NATO reaffirms U.S. support for this crucial alli...

When She Checked In On The Dog Sitter, Her Puppy Cam Showed A Naked Woman Rosie Brown needed someone to watch her fur babies while she was out of town at a wedding. Using Wag, she booked 4 1/2 days with 26-year-old Casey Brengle. The women agreed on a price of $315; they even discussed house rules, typical daily schedules, and the doggy cam located on the kitchen counter. “She had 210 five-star reviews and I’m thinking, okay, this is great,” Brown told ABC 7 News The key exchange and first day of the dog sitting went off without a hitch…but then Rosie received an alert from her doggy cam. So, she decided to check in with the app — and what she found horrified her... read and watch the video “On the preview on the alert, it showed a man in our house, someone that I wasn’t expecting,” the down owner said. “So I opened it up and that’s when I saw she was there with a man in our house and they were going straight for our bedroom.” The footage showed the dog sitter making out with a ma...
Florida's Messiest Execution
Florida's Messiest Execution On July 8, 1999, the execution of Allen Lee Davis set off a shock wave that rippled around the world. During his time in the electric chair, Davis bled profusely from the nose and suffered burns to his head, leg, and groin area. As the switch was thrown, the “Tiny” Davis, who was executed for the May 11, 1982, murder of Nancy Weiler and her two daughters, reared back against the restraints, giving witnesses a chilling glimpse under a black hood designed to hide the faces of the condemned. Blood poured from his vivid purple nose, ran down the wide leather strap that covered his mouth and soaked the white shirt. After the power was turned off, Davis was still alive. Witnesses said his chest rose and fell about 10 times before he went still. After the execution, state prison officials and Governor Jeb Bush said the Old Sparky functioned properly. Three photos of the incident have been published on Florida’s High Court official website in an attempt to argu...

Selknam natives en route to Europe for being exhibited as animals in Human Zoos, 1899
Selknam natives en route to Europe for being exhibited as animals in Human Zoos , 1899 A family of Indians being taken to Europe as the new inhabitants of the zoo With the permission of the Chilean government in 1889, eleven Selk’nam natives including an 8-year-old were taken to Europe to be exhibited in Human Zoos. The Patagonian Indians were a rarity. Between 1878 and 1900, three groups of natives belonging to indigenous groups of Tehuelche, Selknam, and Kawésqar were shipped to Europe to be exposed in Human Zoos. They were photographed, measured, weighed, and were expected to perform every day. Sometimes 6 to 8 times a day. The Selknams did not receive the best care. Therefore, many of them did not make it back. Some did not even make it to Europe. But why would civilized people do such a thing as showing other people in zoos? From a sociological point of view, it’s understandable: a much more technologically advanced civilization lacking the modern-day sensibilities and political ...
