Mexican Revolution Carlos Fortino Sámano was a 1st rank captain (Capitán primero)  of the Constitutional Army under Venustiano Carranza during the Mexican Revolution. He was accused of robbery with violence against an old lady, and after a military trial was sentenced to death in 1916 and finally was executed by a Federal firing squad on 2 March 1917. Before being executed, his last will was a glass of Chile chipotle liquor, which was conceded by his executors. He became a well-known figure because of the picture, taken by Agustín Víctor Casasola who captured him standing before his executioners, unblindfolded, calm, smoking a cigar. DEADLY GAMBLE Desperate ‘rooftopper’ Wu Yongning fell to death livestreaming stunt in bid to get cash for wedding and sick mum The self-described "China's First Rooftopper" who plunged to his death while livestreaming from the roof of a skyscraper, did the stunt to pay for his wedding and help his sick mum.  Wu Yongning, 26, was clinging to the side of the skyscraper and recording the stunt when he lost his grip and plunged from the 62-storey building to his death in November of 2017.  His body was said to be discovered by a window cleaner. Workers for the electrical services department in Morganton, N.C., found the reptiles when they went to turn off power at a house that was scheduled to be demolished, according to a post on the Facebook page for the city government: "One snake slithered across two hot terminals and was electrocuted; The second snake was biting the first and received the jolt as well. REMAINS UNEARTHED FROM ASHES AT POMPEII BELIEVED TO BE FROM MOUNT VESUVIUS BLAST Skeletal remains of what are believed to have been a rich man and his male slave attempting to escape death from the eruption of Mount Vesuvius nearly 2,000 years ago have been discovered in Pompeii, officials at the archaeological park in Italy said Saturday. Parts of the skulls and bones of the two men were found during excavation of the ruins from what was once an elegant villa with a panoramic view of the Mediterranean Sea on the outskirts of the ancient Roman city destroyed by the volcano eruption in 79 A.D.
