There were people of many cultures held at these zoos and they were all over the world They still trying to keep this history unknown.

 some white people or not responsible for the horrific, inhumane, disgusting and humiliating acts that have been done to black people in the past and yet today. People fear and ignorance of beauty make them do terrible things. Without apology I could never be in a intimate relationship with a white person because I’m always going to see them as a villain, bad evil and untrustworthy. God forgive me! That’s how I feel. Many of their ancestors stained the life of black people and though I forgave them I can never see past the trauma, pain, stress and mental damage they have done. I know this not to the like of everyone BUT I also believe black people should marry and be in relationship with other black people. I mean how can you know these things and still be with another colour other than your own.

This is why knowing history is so important… Learning from the past (good & bad parts) will enlighten societies worldwide about the uphill struggles put on people of color during the colonial period to this present day. We can forgive, but we must never forget.

From the late 1800s to 1958 human zoo was a popular thing in France, Belgium and other western societies.

In a human zoo, Africans, Filipinos and other people considered to be less humans are displayed for entertainment like animals in a zoo.

To make it more entertaining and worth the money of the viewers, the people displayed in the zoos are asked to cook their tribal food, perform tribal rituals or dance. They are also asked to play and run around with animals to make it even more fun.

Audience came in droves to human zoos. One attendance attracts more than 500 visitors as people came from all over Europe to entertain themselves by seeing "strange people" different from them and cultures or behaviors different from theirs.

The popularity of human zoos waned in 1958 as some people started to protest against it and as TV was invented. With the invention of TVs, westerners had other things to watch to entertain themselves
