A few years ago I found out about this wrestler named “Act Yasukawa” while watching Japanese wrestling. Growing up half Japanese it was always great to see my people excel in sports whether it is soccer, wrestling or baseball. But this lady here had the most impact on me, n I’m not even that big of a wrestling fan.
In 2015 in a wrestling program called stardom, Act participated in a singles match against a “ugly psycho”, yes I’m not saying her real name bc she doesn’t deserve recognition n deserves to disappear from the wrestling industry. I’ve never shed a tear while watching wrestling but this was a first bc this wasn’t fake or kayfabe. Mind you this “girl” was 5 times the size n weight of Act. What I witnessed watching this fight was pure psychotic activity by this “ugly psycho”, the acts she committed were inhumane n disgusting n she deserves to be in jail. Act was brutally assaulted in this match for no good reason, her face was badly deformed,( yet she still looked 10 times prettier then the ugly btch). Apparently the ugly psycho was pissed she had to lose the match or drop her title to act and proceeded to act like a btch n went against the script n brutally beat act. But that wasn’t the part where I teared up was seeing how unfazed act was n her literally wanting to fight n continue despite being in insane amount of pain. She literally was angry that the match had to be stopped despite being in a bloody pulp. The funny thing was even tho Act was in a bloody pulp n wasn’t victorious, she still looked 10 times more cooler n brave n strong then the ugly psycho.
The after math is what pissed me off so much, apparently Act was hospitalized for nearly a month n was forced to retire while the ugly psycho was suspended for a year n now is back to wrestling. Act is a great human being as she forgave the ugly psycho after the match n came out of the hospital with all smiles n joyful while the ugly psycho basically suffered little consequences. The worst part was when Act was forced to surrender, the ugly psycho was smiling and laughing as if she had no remorse.
I’m Japanese n I’m disappointed once again by my country’s law system, not only did this incident n many more abuse n assault incidents have been overlooked, my country is a country that gives rapists n child predators about only 3-5 years for disgusting crimes. Even some people who own child P*** only get a fine to pay.
Sorry for getting off topic but I want to wrap this up by saying this incident is a disgrace to wrestling n Aya Yasukawa is a beautiful legend who doesn’t fear anything(EMPHASIS ON THE BEAUTIFUL PART, I mean look at this queen).
So remember her name, hope for the best for her, we all should be aya fans.
Act rules. The sacrifices she made to get to where she did in her career before the incident then the effort she put in afterwards to keep it going is unbelievable.
The Ghastly Match is grotesquely fascinating in the sense of it’s one of those shoot incidents I don’t think we’ll ever know the complete story behind. Act shot first with a very stiff shot then Yoshiko went far, far, far and beyond what could ever be considered a receipt and just brutalised her. I don’t believe it was as simple as Yoshiko wouldn’t drop the belt to her, there’s got to be something more going on there considering that Yoshiko had never before and has not since been known for that sort of behaviour and is seen as a total professional everywhere else she’s been before and after the incident. Obviously nothing justifies the savagery she inflicted on Act that day but I’d love to know what actually happened to trigger such an incident to happen
