The soldier who went on a one man rampage, 1968
Roy P Benavidez was born in Texas in 1935. His father was Mexican and his mother was Yaqui native Mexican. They both died of tuberculosis when Benavidez was young. He was bullied for his Mexican accent and heritage in school and worked hard labour to support his family, but dreamed of joining the US Army. At the age of 15, he dropped out of school to work on a farm. However, as soon as he was ready, Roy enlisted in the US armed forces. He also got married around this time and had 3 children.
In 1965, Roy qualified for the special forces and was deployed to Vietnam. Roy was on a secret surveillance mission dressed as a Vietcong fighter when he stepped on a landmine. He was sent back to America and in hospital, he was told that he would never walk again. Secretly at night and filled with determination, Roy crawled out of his bed across the floor with his elbows and kept trying to move his feet. Doctors told him to stop as the pain was excruciating, but Roy kept this up for months. Roy, against all odds, holding his wife's hand, walked out of the hospital and astonishingly, Roy went back to Vietnam.
On May 2nd 1968 Roy took part in a fight that was so vicious and brutal it has been named "6 hours in hell". Roy heard soldiers calling for backup on his radio at his base, and filled with determination, jumped onto the helicopter with just his hunting knife as he had no time to prepare.
Roy would get off the helicopter to help his soldiers, who were surrounded by 1,000 North Vietnamese soldiers. During the fight, Roy saved the lives of 8 men while spraying gunfire at the enemy. Roy at one point was even stabbed by an enemy soldier with his bayonet, in which he pulled out his hunting knife and stabbed the man to death. Roy helped his friends onto the helicopter and got back to base. It was discovered that Roy had 37 separate bullet, bayonet, and shrapnel wounds. Doctors zipped him up in a body bag assuming he was dead, but Roy spat in one of their faces to show he was still alive. Roy survived his injuries and received the Medal of Honour for his outstanding bravery and courage.

Man beat and stripped cheating wife fully naked – As neighbours stood to watch (See Photos)
Man beat and stripped cheating wife fully naked – As neighbours stood to watch (See Photos) Man beat and stripped cheating wife – Just saw a gruesome video online that broke my heart. Men… and even women stood and watched as this man stripped his wife to her underwear and brutally beat her with a plank. The people who posted the video online said he beat her to death, but that isn’t shown in the video. The last seconds of the video shows the man dragging the very weak woman away. They said the man attacked his wife after catching her with another man. And no, it didn’t happen in Nigeria. I screen-grabbed from the video. When Dennis Rader murdered a family of four in cold blood, he made the children watch as he strangled their parents. The Bizarre Story Of Patty Hearst, The Kidnapped Heiress Who Joined The Symbionese Liberation Army
"First person puts up his head, I'll blow his motherf**king head off!" That's what publishing heiress Patty Hearst said as she robbed a San Francisco bank on April 15, 1974. But she didn't introduce herself by her birth name. Instead, she reportedly called herself "Tania," the name she'd taken after joining the Symbionese Liberation Army, a leftist guerrilla group. It was a shocking transformation for the apolitical 19-year-old — especially since the SLA had actually kidnapped Hearst from her Berkeley home just a couple of months prior. The bank incident led many to believe that Hearst was forced into joining the group while in captivity. But others were convinced that she was genuinely radicalized, especially since just one month later, she fired multiple bullets outside of a Los Angeles store to help her "comrades" escape from being arrested for shoplifting. In 1974, a group of leftist radicals calling themselves the “Symbionese Li...
Selknam natives en route to Europe for being exhibited as animals in Human Zoos, 1899
Selknam natives en route to Europe for being exhibited as animals in Human Zoos , 1899 A family of Indians being taken to Europe as the new inhabitants of the zoo With the permission of the Chilean government in 1889, eleven Selk’nam natives including an 8-year-old were taken to Europe to be exhibited in Human Zoos. The Patagonian Indians were a rarity. Between 1878 and 1900, three groups of natives belonging to indigenous groups of Tehuelche, Selknam, and Kawésqar were shipped to Europe to be exposed in Human Zoos. They were photographed, measured, weighed, and were expected to perform every day. Sometimes 6 to 8 times a day. The Selknams did not receive the best care. Therefore, many of them did not make it back. Some did not even make it to Europe. But why would civilized people do such a thing as showing other people in zoos? From a sociological point of view, it’s understandable: a much more technologically advanced civilization lacking the modern-day sensibilities and political ...
17-Year-Old Stanley Kubrick’s Photos Of 1940s New York Prove That He Was Born Genius
17-Year-Old Stanley Kubrick’s Photos Of 1940s New York Prove That He Was Born Genius Before Stanley Kubrick directed arguably some of the best movies ever made like "2001: Space Odyssey" or "The Shining," he was a simple teenager in New York looking for a job. But even then, when the 17-year-old got his hands on a photo camera, he couldn't hide the talent within. Bored Panda has gathered a collection of his photos of New York from 1945 to 1950, when he was working in the Look magazine. During that time Stanley got many insights into what makes a photograph work: "I think aesthetically recording spontaneous action, rather than carefully posing a picture, is the most valid and expressive use of photography." He quickly made a name for himself by telling stories through photos, which eventually led him to moving pictures and his place in the filmmakers' hall of fame. Oh, and if you're into street photography as well, let Stanley himself give you a...
A brutal reminder of how extreme the Japanese Imperial Army was
A Japanese officer beheads a Chinese prisoner. Second-Sino Japanese War, 1937-1945. A brutal reminder of how extreme the Japanese Imperial Army was The Imperial Japanese Army and Navy (which I want to stress were disbanded and no longer exist) were one of the most evil organizations in human history. I remain convinced the Empire of Japan is the most evil regime in human history and worse than Nazi Germany in terms of pure cruelty. Their atrocities just aren't talk about much anymore because Japan is so well liked now in the West. The indiscriminate massacre of civilians. Slaughter of entire cities, torture, inhumane treatment of POWs, countless women forced into sexual slavery, among others. Over their conquest of East Asia, the Japanese Army forced around 200,000 women into the ranks of 'comfort women". These women mainly came from China, Korea, and the Philippines. This is the only thing l could not find a source for, but I distinctly remember reading the firsthand acco...

Dennis Rader (Born March 9, 1945), also known as Bind, Torture, Kill (BTK), was a serial killer who terrorized Wichita, Kansas, between 1974 and 1991. Rader's crimes were particularly heinous, as he would bind, torture, and kill his victims, often photographing his crimes and sending taunting letters to the media and law enforcement. Rader's nickname, BTK, stood for "Bind, Torture, Kill," which described his modus operandi. Rader was eventually caught in 2005, after sending a floppy disk to the police, which contained metadata that was traced back to him. Rader's early life appeared to be relatively unremarkable. He was born in 1945 in Kansas, and he married his high school sweetheart in 1971. Rader worked as a compliance officer for a security company and was also involved in his local church. However, behind this façade, Rader harbored dark desires and fantasies that he acted out through his crimes. He claimed that he was "addicted" to killing and that...
