The disturbing life of Peter Niers - The black Magician





Niers was a notorious serial killer who terrorized the German countryside during the 16th century. He was born in the town of Neumarkt in Bavaria in 1558 and was known for his brutal, sadistic and disturbing crimes. Niers was a member of a gang of bandits who roamed the countryside, robbing and killing anyone unfortunate enough to crossed their path.

Niers was known for his cruelty and his willingness to kill without remorse. He was said to have killed 544 people, including 24 fetuses cut out of pregnant women—allegedly, the fetal remains were to be used in magical rituals. He was known for his use of torture, often mutilating his victims before killing them. He was also known for his use of poison, which he would use to kill his victims slowly and painfully.



Niers was eventually caught and brought to trial in 1581. He was found guilty of his crimes and was sentenced to death. He was executed by being broken on the wheel, a particularly disturbing form of execution (covered in an previous post) in which the victim is tied to a large wheel and then beaten with iron bars until death mercifully ends their torment.

The story of Peter Niers has become a legend in Germany, and his name is still known today. He has been the subject of numerous books, plays, and films, and his crimes have been studied by criminologists and historians alike. His legacy is one of terror and brutality, and his story serves as a reminder of the dark and disturbing side of human nature.
