A RANDY couple were filmed having sex on a beach in broad daylight down the coast from a famous golf course.

The pair were filmed going at it on a sand bank at Ayrshire beach, in Scotland, only a short distance from the Royal Troon Golf Club – where last year's Open was played.

Still half-dressed, the romping couple were filmed by a laughing onlooker.

After a few seconds the camera zooms out and a busy beach, full of people enjoying a sunny day, is visible in the background.

Towards the end of the shocking clip, the man looks towards the camera and realises he's been caught in the act.

The video has been shared on Twitter with the caption "Troon 2017" where it has been retweeted and commented on numerous times.

The incident is believed to have happened on Tuesday (July 18) when 6,000 rowdy party-goers descended on the beach.

Police were forced to send in reinforcements after struggling to cope with the situation.

The party, which was arranged on Facebook, resulted in police making 10 arrests and seizing “significant quantities of alcohol”.

“Approximately 25 police officers were deployed to the area including local officers, officers from the road policing unit, mounted branch and support unit.

"Officers seized significant amounts of alcohol and more than 10 arrests have been made.

"While the majority of people come to Troon to enjoy the sunshine and the beach a number engaged in anti-social behaviour resulting in officers intervening in incidents of disorder.

"This has had an impact on local residents and people who came to town to enjoy the town."

World famous golf course Royal Troon has hosted the Open nine times, most recently last year.

This year's competition is being held at Royal Birkdale Golf Course in Southport and began today.
