I earn £50 as a naked cleaner - my partner is okay with it but some of my clients have creepy requests A woman who works as a naked cleaner has revealed the weirdest parts of the job - including clients who are also naked. Lottie Rae, 32, took up the unusual role to make some extra money in 2017, and charges £50 an hour - estimating she's made a few thousand pounds over the years. The British cleaner says in the six years she's been working as a naked cleaner she's had a range of clients - including some who just want company, naturists, and others who 'hope for something more'. The cleaner, who describes herself as 'free-spirited' says the role has made her feel more body confident and even says it's empowering. Lottie said: 'There's a fair few people who are creepy - a handful of the guys I clean for book cleaners on the premise they will get something else. The cleaner, who describes herself as 'free-spirited' says the role has made he...

French woman kissing an American soldier after the liberation of France.

Image
French woman kissing an American soldier after the liberation of France. Sixty-nine years ago today, the Allies invaded the beaches of Normandy, France. From the moment they secured a beachhead and through the decades, the paratroopers, soldiers, sailors, and airmen that made up that armada have been heroes to millions. Many of us knew these men only as old men, not the young men they had been when they fought and suffered to free Europe from the tyranny of Nazism. When I was a kid, these guys seemed superhuman to me, despite their age. I had read how they had helped beat the villains Hitler, Tojo, and Mussolini, helping to save the world, just like Superman or Batman did in the comic books I also read. From our standpoint decades later, it all seems that the war was preordained because we all want to believe that good will always defeat evil, no matter the form it takes. That’s what the comic books and the movies I was enthralled with taught me. That’s just the way life is supposed to...

American troops drag the body of a Viet Cong fighter behind their M113 Armored Personnel Carrier for burial. He was killed in a fierce night attack by several Viet Cong battalions against Australian forces during the Battle of Long Tan As the Vietnam War raged on in 1966, international forces continued to fight against the Viet Cong, attempting to gain a secure foothold in South Vietnam. The night of August 19th, a group of Viet Cong soldiers attacked a battalion of Australian troops in what would become known as the Battle of Long Tan. The Viet Cong troops were driven back by Australian and United States forces and several Viet Cong were killed. The body of one deceased Viet Cong soldier, perhaps out of frustration or in a display of victory, was tied to the back of a US Army tank and dragged behind it. Japanese photographer Kyoichi Sawada (of the United Press International) was covering the combat in Vietnam and snapped several photos of American soldiers tying the body to the armore...

British Royal Marine poses with two decapitated heads during the Malayan Emergency

British Royal Marine poses with two decapitated heads during the Malayan Emergency. This photograph was first published on May 10, 1952, by the British Communist newspaper the Daily Worker (Morning Star), in a frontpage article titled "This Horror Must End". This article was a response to British government claims that similar headhunting photographs previously published by the Daily Worker depicted isolated incidents. • The heads show signs of torture, as many of the teeth are missing. The decapitation of suspected socialists and pro-independence fighters was a common practice by British allied forces during the Malayan Emergency, typically done by Iban headhunters hired by British forces. braham Lincoln’s Head on John Calhoun’s Body, circa 1860 One of the most famous pictures of President Abraham Lincoln is as fact-based as the upcoming movie Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Lincoln’s head was placed atop South Carolina politician John Calhoun’s body in this 1860 photo.  Interestingly enough, Calhoun died in 1850. 2. General Ulysses. S. Grant on a Horse in Front of Troops, circa 1864 Researchers at the Library of Congress uncovered this gem after extensive detective work. The image appears to show General Ulsses S. Grant in front of his troops at City Point, Virginia during the American Civil War. Investigation now shows the image to be made of three separate prints: (1) the head is taken from a portrait of Grant; (2) the horse and body are those of Major General Alexander M. Cook; and (3) the background is of Confederate prisoners captured at the battle of Fisher’s Hill, Virginia. 3. Kent State Massacre Fencepost Removal, 1970 In this Pulitzer Prize winning photogr...
